A  SICK  BAT,   THAT  WAS  FOUND  IN  WATSONVILLE  HAD  RABIES.        ALTHOUGH  THE  BAT   IS  NOT  BELIEVED  TO  HAVE  COME   IN  DIRECT  CONTACT  WITH  ANY  HUMANS  (OR  PETS),   PEOPLE   WHO  MAY  HAVE  INTERACTED   WITH   IT  ARE  ENCOURAGED  TO  CONTACT   A   HEALTH  CARE  PROVIDER.      THE  SICK  BAT  WAS  FOUND  LAST  THURSDAY  ON  THE   500  BLOCK  OF  EAST  BEACH  STREET IN  WATSONVILLE.

IF  A  BAT,  OR  ANY  OTHER  ANIMAL,  IS  BEHAVING  UNUSUALLY,  PEOPLE  ARE  ENCOURAGED  TO  CONTACT  THEIR  LOCAL  COUNTY  HEALTH   PROVIDERS.    PEOPLE  ARE  ASKED  TO  MAKE   SURE  THEIR  PETS  ARE  UP  TO  DATE  ON THEIR  PETS’  RABIES  VACCINES  AND   OTHER  SHOTS.     A  "HEALTHY  DOGS  SHOTS" FAIR  IS  SCHEDULED  TO  RUN  FROM  1-4  P.M.  AT  RAMSAY  PARK  BASEBALL  FIELD.
