additional charges have been filed against a counselor at a salinas high school who is accused of sexual activity with a minor. investigators served a search warrant at the home of gilbert olivares, where videos were found that depict teenage students engaged in sexual contact (with each other) in olivares’ office at salinas high. additional child pornography charges have been added and olivares’ bail has been increased to 1 million dollars. at least one additional victim has come forward since the counselor’s arrest. salinas police are asking anyone with any information about inappropriate conduct by gilbert olivares to contact the salinas police department.
