surfer dies, pleasure point area (scc) 03/12/12 10:25p.m. TDH
A surfer died monday, after being found unconscious in the water. The man had been surfing at the spot known as “the hook” near capitola’s 41st avenue, (in the pleasure point area), when he was found not breathing at about 6 p.m. emergency responders were unable to resuscitate the victim; he was declared dead at the scene just before 6:30. The incident is under investigation.
