FIRE  IN  WVILLE  THIS  EVENING  -  16  DISPLACED  -   02/07/12         19:32      S.S.

 

 

2 residential  structures  were  damaged  by  fire  this  evening  in  Watsonville.     The  blaze,   which  broke  out  in  the  100  block  of  Grant  Street,    was  called  in  just  before   6:30  p.m.       Firefighters  are  mopping  up,   and  fire  investigators  are  now  working  to  determine  what  caused  this  fire.

 

16  people  were  reportedly  displaced  by  this  2-structure  fire.

 

DUE  TO  LOTS  OF  FIRE  AND  EMERGENCY  EQUIPMENT  STILL  ON  THE  SCENE,   GRANT  STREET IS  STILL  CLOSED  BETWEEN  UNION AND  MARCHANT.
