the bail for a salinas teenager, who has pleaded “not guilty” to charges of vehicular manslaughter while driving under the influence, will remain at 100 thousand dollars. alexander gordon winn is expected to be back in a monterey county court room for a preliminary hearing next friday (february 5th).
monterey county judge timothy roberts had said he would consider reducing the bail, if a g.p.s. monitoring system was obtained for winn. that has not been secured yet, and so judge roberts denied the bail reduction request.
winn was the driver in a fatal accident that occurred early new year’s day on corral de tierra road.
