Likenesses have been noted between the area of Butte county that burned in the Camp Fire, and portions of both the Santa Cruz Mountains and north Monterey County. Many of those areas have very large fuel loads this year….and only one way in and out. Residents of those areas are urged to clear dead brush within 100 feet of their homes and pay attention to red flag warnings. Additionally it’s important to be aware of alerts of dry conditions, high winds, and high temperatures….which can all lead to rapidly moving wildfires.
