A FIRE BROKE OUT IN LIVE OAK EARLY (THURSDAY) THIS MORNING.
FIREFIGHTERS FROM THE CENTRAL FIRE DISTRICT RESPONDED TO THE 2 A-M CALL ON THE 300 BLOCK OF 9TH AVENUE. THE FIRE BROKE OUT IN THE GARAGE, AND IS BELIEVED TO HAVE BEEN A RARE CASE OF SPONTANEOUS COMBUSTION OF SHOP RAGS. THE FIRE WAS EXTINGUISHED IN ABOUT 5 MINUTES. THE RESIDENTS WEREN’T HOME AT THE TIME OF THE BLAZE, MOST OF THE DAMAGE WAS LIMITED TO THE GARAGE, HOWEVER THE HOME DID SUFFER SOME SMOKE DAMAGE.
