A controversial television program is leaving Salinas, apparently going to another city the producers of the A&E Network program “Live PD” will find “a little more exciting” and busier, according to Salinas Mayor Joe Gunter.
Live PD followed Salinas officers as they responded to real emergencies. Gunter said the show, which has been in Salinas for a year, had a good relationship with the city. It was the decision of Live PD to leave Salinas, Gunter added.
“Live PD” will conclude its Salinas programs on October 21st.
While the show has been popular with Salinas residents, others felt it portrayed the city in a bad light and turned real crimes into entertainment.
