A 21-year old Hollister man is in custody after stealing mail and running from a Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Deputy today in the Live Oak area. Ethan Benoit was arrested just after 12 a.m. on the 2300 block of Paul Minnie Avenue when a deputy on patrol was looking into people’s cars and noticed a bulge protruding out of Benoit’s sweatshirt. After a brief foot chase, Benoit was found carrying mail from 8 victims along with a concealed dagger.
