A 19-year-old salinas man has been sentenced to life in prison, for the attempted murder of 2-high school students. Jorge sanchez will be eligible for parole in 40-years. he was convicted of shooting 2-students as they left salinas’s alisal high school, in February of 2008. both victims were struck by 2-bullets, but were able to survive the attack. Sanchez was 16-years-old at the time. The driver of the car he was riding in accepted a plea deal, and testified against sanchez. Gang enhancements added to the length of the sentence.
