Approximately three quarters of an acre of vegetation went up in flames near the Lexington Reservoir last night before fire crews extinguished the blaze. The fire was reported around 9:30pm. Crews were able to extinguish the blaze in about an hour. No structures were threatened and no injuries were reported. The dam itself was not damaged. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
