It’s Thanksgiving Week, and the time to talk turkey is among us. Andrea Bolativich, chef for Butterball Turkey Help Line offered these tips on how to prepare a turkey and serve a fantastic holiday feast during KSCO’s “Good Morning Monterey Bay”:
- Plan for 1.5 pounds of turkey per person if you would like leftovers.
- Do you have a frozen turkey? Plan for one day of thawing per every 4 pounds of turkey.
- If pressed for time, submerge the frozen turkey in cold water, changing the water every half-hour, repeating the process every 30 minutes for each pound of turkey.
