A lawsuit has been filed against Monterey county sheriff scott miller, relating to the arrest of his son on drug-dealing charges. The lawsuit was filed in sacramento, on behalf of sheriff’s sergeant archie warren. The suit claims that the sheriff, (and Under Sheriff max houser), violated the rights of deputies involved in the case and engaged in professional misconduct. The complaint alleges that the undersheriff called sheriff miller to warn him about the impending arrest, minutes before it happened. It also alleges that an investigation of the narcotics team launched by the sheriff, is inappropriate.
