A Santa Cruz county surfer was killed in a shark attack near La Selva Beach on Saturday. The attack took place at about 1:30 p-m about a 100 yards of shore of Sand Dollar Beach south of Manressa State Beach. The victim is described as a 26 year old male resident of Santa Cruz County. The immediate area will be posted with warning signs. The victim’s name has yet to be released.
