Demolition of the la fonda bridge over highway-1 is set to close most lanes of the highway tonight and tomorrow. The pedestrian bridge is being demolished as part of the soquel-morrissey auxiliary project, which will see the highway widened in that area. both lanes of southbound highway-1 will be closed from midnight to 5 a.m. tonight and Tuesday night. 1-northbound lane will also be closed. Traffic will be detoured onto Morrissey and soquel. Next Monday and Tuesday, (the 13th and 14th), northbound lanes will be closed from 11 p.m. to 4a.m..
