A Live Oak man is now scheduled to stand trial for the springtime stabbing death of 35 year-old Hubert Cross. 35 year-old Leif Ames is believed to have killed Cross in his Brommer Street apartment, the night of March 21st. Reportedly, it was Ames who called 9-1-1 and told dispatchers he had stabbed his friend and co-worker. The next hearing on this case is scheduled for January 11th.
