Accused child rapist and former Santa Cruz neurosurgeon James Kohut appeared briefly court today (Tuesday) for a preliminary hearing.
Two Watsonville police officers testified about videos depicting sexual activity with children.
Kohut did not take the stand. His attorneys are seeking a bail reduction from $15-million to $1.5 million.
Accused of running a child sex ring, Kohut has pled not guilty to 48 felony charges. He is expected back in court tomorrow.
