Monterey County prosecutors say there is not enough evidence to press charges against a King City police officer accused of burglary, false imprisonment, and brandishing a weapon. 33-year-old David Hernandez allegedly broke into his ex-girlfriend’s house on Oats Avenue on Halloween night. The arrest report says he was armed and would not let the woman and the man she was with leave the room. Officials now say Hernandez was a resident at the Oats Avenue home and that his ex-girlfriend knew he was there. He is due back in court within a month.
