King City has completed its airport layout plan at Mesa Del Rey Airport. Mayor Mike Lebarre says the changes in lighting and a new surveillance system will help the airport compete for federal grants to pay for further improvements.
Labarre hopes King City will become a regional hub by partnering with manufacturers of hybrid and electric planes. He says the goal is less expensive, less polluting flights for residents, business, and tourism.
