Santa Cruz County officials are offering students in grades K-12 the opportunity to vote in the upcoming election. The Elections Department has partnered with Tierra Pacifica Charter School in Live Oak to coordinate Kids Vote 2014. Instructors and their students have assembled Kids Vote packets for each of the 136 voting precincts in the county. Ballots are currently available at the County Elections Department and City Clerks Offices. Students can also find ballots at polling places on Election Day. The program aims to teach youth about the importance of voting.
