A local man, who was named an N-B-A All-Star twice, has died. Watsonville resident Ken Sears, who lead the league in Field Goal Percentage during his 8 seasons in the N.B.A. passed away on Sunday at the age of 83. Sears had suffered from Pulmonary Fibrosis for 2 years. A Celebration Of Life is scheduled to be held for Sears on Saturday May 20th, at Twin Lakes Church in Aptos.
