King City police arrested a Watsonville man on weapons charges yesterday. At about 11 a.m. a patrol unit stopped 23 year old Arnulfo Diaz at Canal Street and Highway 101 for speeding. A background check revealed Diaz as a convicted felon and confirmed gang member. A search of the vehicle uncovered a loaded 9mm pistol reported stolen out of Santa Cruz County. Diaz was booked into Monterey County Jail.
