A FIRE IN KING CITY DESTROYED 4 MOBILE HOMES AND A CAR DEALERSHIP EARLY SUNDAY MORNING. FIRE FIGHTERS AND MONTEREY COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPUTIES RESPONDED TO THE BLAZE ON THE 9-HUNDRED BLOCK OF BROADWAY STREET TO FIND 4 TRAILERS AND A BUSINESS ENGULFED IN FLAMES. 1 MAN WAS AIRLIFTED TO A TRAUMA CENTER WITH 3RD DEGREE BURNS, ANOTHER VICTIM WAS FLOWN TO A MEDICAL CENTER FOR SMOKE INHALATION. A THIRD VICTIM AND A DEPUTY WERE TREATED FOR LESS SERIOUS INJURIES. THE DWELLINGS AND THE DEALERSHIP, ALONG WITH 10 CARS, ARE BEING CALLED A TOTAL LOSS. AN INVESTIGATION INTO THE CAUSE OF THE FIRE COULD TAKE MONTHS TO COMPLETE.
