A 44 year-old King City man drowned in a Monterey county lake today. That after Armando Loa Ramos, fell into Lake Nacimiento (near Sandy Point) around 1 p.m. His body was recovered shortly after 2 p.m. His friends told officers that Ramos could not swim, and was not wearing a life vest at the time. That same friend said he tried to rescue Ramos, and nearly drowned himself. Everyone is encouraged to wear life jackets while in or near the water.
