The Monterey SPCA is offering a reward in connection with an injured hawk in King City. The wounded Red Tailed Hawk was found on August 7th. A medical examination was performed and x-rays found numerous pellets lodged in the raptors’ body. Red-tailed hawks are protected under the Federal Migratory Bird Treaty Act. A 1 thousand dollar reward is being offered. Anyone with any information is encouraged to call the spca at 831-373-2631.
