A King City hospital will be laying off dozens of employees. A spokesperson for the Mee Memorial Healthcare System announced that 43 of 353 employees will be laid off at Mee Memorial Hospital. The lay offs are due to financial hardships brought on by cuts to medi-care and medi-cal as well as private insurance and are part of an effort to lower the costs of medical services at the facility.
