King City officials have announced the hiring of another interim police chief. The city has hired Tony Sollecito, a 36-year veteran of law enforcement, with extensive experience in Monterey County. The new interim police chief of King City has worked as a peace officer in Del Rey Oaks, Salinas, Huntington Beach, and Seaside where he retired as chief of police 4-years ago. Officials believe that interim Chief Sollecito has the ability to restore the community’s faith in the police department as the city works to find a permanent chief.
