It is called ’sack Lunches?.I put my carry-on in the luggage compartment, and sat down in my assigned seat. It was going to be a long flight.Just before takeoff, a line of soldiers came down the aisle, and filled all the vacant seats totally surrounding me.I decided to start a conversation. ?Where are you guys headed?? I asked the soldier seated nearest to me. ?Petawawa. We will be there for two weeks for special training, and then we are being deployed to Afghanistan.After flying for about an hour, an announcement was made that sack lunches were available for $5. It would be several hours before we reached the east, and I decided a lunch would help pass the time. I overheard a soldier ask his buddy if he planned to buy lunch. ?No. That seems like a lot of money for just a sack lunch. Probably would not be worth $5,? he said. ?I will wait til we get to base. And his friend agreed.I looked around at the other soldiers. None were buying lunch. I walked to the back of the plane, and handed the flight attendant a $50 bill. ?Take a lunch to all those soldiers,? I said. She grabbed my arms, and squeezed tightly. Her eyes wet with tears, she thanked me, saying ?My son is a soldier in Iraq, it is almost like you are doing it for him.Picking up ten sacks, she headed up the aisle to where the soldiers were seated. She stopped at my seat and asked ?Which do you like best ? chicken or beef?? ?Chicken,? I replied, wondering why she asked. She turned and went to the front of the plane, returning a minute later with a dinner plate from First Class. ?This is your thanks,? she said. After we finished eating, I went again to the back of the plane, heading for the restroom. A man stopped me. ?I saw what you did,? he said. ?I want to be part of it. Here. Take this. He handed me $25. Soon after I returned to my seat, I saw the flight Captain coming down the aisle. When he got to my row, he stopped, smiled, held out his hand, and said ?I want to shake your hand.Quickly unfastening my seatbelt, I stood and shook the Captain’s hand. With a booming voice he said ?I was a soldier, and I was a military pilot. Once someone bought me a lunch. It was an act of kindness I never forgot. I was embarrassed when applause was heard from all of the passengers. Later, I walked to the front of the plane, so I could stretch my legs. A man who was seated about six rows in front of me reached out his hand, wanting to shake mine. He left another $25 in my palm.When we landed, I gathered my belongings, and started to deplane. A man stopped me, put something in my shirt pocket, turned and walked away, without saying a word. Another $25.Upon entering the terminal, I saw the soldiers gathering for their trip to the base. I walked over to them, and handed them $75. ?It will take you some time to reach the base,? I said. ?It will be about time for a sandwich. God bless you all. Ten young men left that flight feeling the love and respect of their fellow travelers. As I walked to my car, I whispered a prayer for their safe return. These soldiers have given their all for our Country. I could only give them a couple of meals. It seems so little. A Veteran is someone who at one point in his life wrote a blank check made payable to the United States of America for the amount of up to and including his life. That is Honor! And there are way too many people in this Country who no longer understand that, and it is so sad. May you have the strength and courage to pass this along to everyone you know. Because you love our Country as I do, it is easy to become stressed about change we reject. Knowledge is power, and we will work together to try to change what we see as blatantly wrong, and let us try to remain calm and focused. Do you want the United Nations to use our own American Courts to impose their Foreign Laws on our United States? The United Nations in a flurry of actions has moved with alarming speed to cram Foreign Law down the throats of the American people, and the United Nations has a powerful new ally in this fight, and that is our President Barack Obama. The United States is a champion only of the American Constitution, the American Bill of Rights, and the American Declaration of Independence? This pressing information just came to me from Cliff Kincaid, the President of the National Committee Against the United Nations Take-Over. If the U.N. and Barack Obama get their wish, Foreign Law will replace our U.S. Constitution with disastrous consequences for America. The American people must make their voices heard at the U.S. Supreme Court to make sure that U.S. judicial decisions are not based on any Foreign Laws or Foreign Court decisions. The Supreme Court must issue a clear ruling that U.N. Foreign Laws or Court decisions are not legal in the United States of America. Americans ? we are talking one world government ? because for the past 60 years the U.N. since its inception has had one secret agenda, and that is to rule the world. And now the United Nations has two powerful new allies in this fight ? the pro U.N. liberals in our government who control Congress, and the President in the White House. Barack Obama, Joe Biden, and the liberal leaders in Congress are the most strident pro U.N. liberals America has ever seen in power in Washington. These pro U.N. liberals will ram the United Nations Foreign Law down our throats . . . unless we convince the U.S. Supreme Court to stand up to them. To conclude, it is really pretty simple ? either we let the liberals, the U.N., and the ACLU change America forever by imposing Foreign Law on us, or we help the United States get the upper hand by supporting our vital campaign to not let this happen. My fellow Americans ? please believe what I say ? we are about to lose our Country unless we fight now diligently to keep our way of life. Every day we are being assaulted and Obama wants to dismantle us because this President snookered us. He is a Globalist and not a true American. The Fight for America’s Future?, and what is very compelling is the thoughtful intelligence and well-written reviews about this timely book. Many of the following words here were from one of the reviews of the book, with my personal additions inserted into it. This is one of the best books written that documents, counters, and lays out a clear path to true innovative and intelligent democracy in clear contrast to the Obama business-as-usual liberal Democrat Washington partisan cronies. Clearly Democrat has nothing to do with Democracy. Thomas Jefferson would vomit in his grave if he saw what his Democrat-Republican party has become. We gave the Democrats one more chance after 16 years of innovative intelligent conservative management and they have failed within only six months in office, and have caused half a century of damage in that time in an attempted power grab with OUR money, (like $3 billion put aside for ACORN, et al.) the corrupt organization which paid many street people in Chicago and adjoining states to vote early numerous times last summer before the election, and these people were paid each time. Well, I guess we misjudged the Democratic self-indulgent, self-interest, and self egocentric tone of national management. Democrats do not serve their constituencies well, they clearly serve only themselves. About universal health care ? most Americans do not want it. There are other sensible and practical ways to help those without health insurance. But Obama will try to ram this one down our throats anyhow just for one reason, power. It is not enough for him to be President ? he would like to be Dictator. After that, it will be time for the Democrats to ban guns and assault our Second Amendment. It is almost impossible now to find ammunition. Many modern Democrats are truly a separate mean-spirited breed, like Barney Frank, Chris Dodd, Obama, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, etc., etc., etc. Isn?t it long past time for Term Limits? Power for too long is really toxic and corrupt. And again about health care, I repeat ? why can?t we all have the same excellent healthcare program which our Congress and Administration enjoy without a public option? It is a special fund from participants, and it was never meant to be touched, except for Social Security recipients who are the participants. For many decades, members of Congress have taken large sums of money from this fund. Many thousands. And they left IOU’s in return. This was after they were admonished to never touch that fund. Those stolen amounts were never returned, and now Congress is telling us that Social Security is collapsing. It is the fault of the same lying scoundrels who illegally took that money for their own projects. So, let us keep the blame where it belongs. And now the Commentary ? Kudos to my loyal listener and friend, Charles Slay, who suggested this very timely Commentary called ?How Much Time Is Left?? It has been floating around for a number of years, but it seems to me, and it will to you, that we are almost close to the end. About the time our original 13 states adopted their new Constitution in 1787, Alexander Tyler, a Scottish history professor, had this to say about the fall of the Athenian Republic some 2000 years earlier. ?A democracy is always temporary in nature. It cannot exist as a permanent form of government. Democracy will continue to exist until the time that voters discover they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates who promise the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that every democracy will finally collapse due to loose fiscal policy which is always followed by a dictatorship. The average age of the world’s greatest civilizations from the beginning of history, has been about 200 years. During those 200 years, those nations always progressed through the following sequence: From bondage to spiritual faith.From spiritual faith to great courage. From courage to liberty.From liberty to abundance. From abundance to complacency. From complacency to apathy.From apathy to dependance. And, from dependance back to bondage. Because of our current administration, we have never been closer to losing our beloved Country as we know it. But, we must not give up. Thus far, every move of the Obama administration has weakened us by design, and now if Obamacare prevails, we are surely sliding into Socialism. By the way, why can?t all of us have the same healthcare that the 500+ members of Congress and the administration have without any public or government option? And, We the People should not be paying the premiums for the Congress ? they make enough, or too much, in the way of salaries and pensions, they should pay their own premiums. Are they better than we are? I say ?Hell no!? Either we have equal healthcare for all Americans ? or leave it all in the private sector, and the poor should receive money from the government to go and get their own private healthcare. Let’s keep the government out of it! And, we must allow every citizen to purchase health care from any State in the Country. Not just the State they live in.
