The Kaiser Santa Teresa hospital in San Jose faces a 43-thousand dollar fine for a corona virus outbreak that infected at least 60 people.
The super spreading event that happened in the emergency room of the hospital Christmas Day… is blamed on a staff member wearing an inflatable Christmas tree costume.
According to initial reports… the staff member unknowingly had the virus and was apparently blowing it around the hospital with the fan inside her costume.
Health experts admit they’re not convinced the costume is entirely to blame… there may have been other factors that contributed to the massive spread and that’s what they’re investigating now..
