June 9, 2016: Monterey County Planning Commission Approves Affordable Housing Plan

(07:59) MONTEREY COUNTY – Monterey County officials have approved a plan to build affordable housing in Pebble Beach. On Wednesday, the county’s Planning Commission voted unanimously to move forward with a plan to construct 24 units in the Del Monte Forest within the Pebble Beach Gates, bordering on Pacific Grove. The project will cost $7.5 million and will include the clearing of over 700 trees and the construction of four townhouse buildings. All the trees removed will be replanted elsewhere in the forest.
