(08:55) Santa Cruz – A memorial has been scheduled for the Santa Cruz legend Jack O’Neill. O’Neill died last Friday at his home of natural causes. He was 94 years old. A celebration of O’Neill’s life will be hosted by his family, O’Neill Wetsuits and O’Neill Surf Shop. A floating memorial and day-long gathering will take place near his East Cliff home. O’Neill’s event is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m., Sunday, July 9, at Pleasure Point Beach, at 36th Avenue.
