(19:25) CALIFORNIA – Beginning tomorrow (Thursday) the End Of Life Option Act, and other laws go into effect in California. Last October, Governor Jerry Brown signed ABX2-15 into law, making it possible, under a strict set of protocols, for terminally ill patients to request a prescription drug to end their lives. The California law is similar to existing ones in Oregon, Vermont and Washington. Some of the other laws going into effect tomorrow are: the legal age to purchase tobacco increases from 18 to 21 years of age, and there are new e-cigarettes and designated smoking areas.
