June 7, 2017: Law Enforcement Torch Run

(06:55) Santa Cruz County – Law Enforcement personnel from federal, military, state, county and local agencies will be running the Special Olympics, “Flame of Hope,” through Northern California.  The event is part of the annual Law Enforcement Torch Run, a year round fundraising campaign that will culminate at the Special Olympics Northern California summer games.  The Special Olympics Summer Games brings together more than 700 Special Olympics athletes from throughout Northern California to compete in aquatics, tennis and track & field. The games officially begin after the final leg of the torch run has been completed.  On Wednesday, June 14th the torch begins its journey in Watsonville at 8:00 a.m. before heading through Aptos, Capitola, Santa Cruz, and ending the day in Scotts Valley.   For more information on the Torch Run visit: www.sonc.org/events/law-enforcement-torch-run
