(16:45) MONTEREY- A Monterey man was injured in a Saturday morning fire. Fire Officials say shortly after 10 a.m. five fire engine crews responded to a blaze on the 200 block of John Street. On scene fire fighters found a bedroom fully engulfed in flames. Three adults and an infant escaped the fire, one of the adults suffered first and second degree burns while trying to smother the fire. Fire crews extinguished the fire in about seven minutes, but have declared the structure uninhabitable. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
