(07:55) Seaside – A special election is being held today in Seaside. Seaside voters will decide on two measures that were created to help the city work its way out of a 1.4 million dollar deficit. Measure L is a half-cent increase raising the sales tax from 8.75 to 9.25. It is expected to generate $1.9 million annually. Measure G would place a 10 percent tax on businesses selling marijuana and would generate an estimated $300,000. If Measure L and G pass, all money generated from the measures will be spent on local needs.
