June 5, 2015: Lockwood Woman Convicted of Hunting with Lead Ammunition without Permit

(08:41) MONTEREY COUNTY – A Lockwood woman has been convicted for using lead ammunition to hunt wild pigs without her permit. Officials say 42-year-old Blanca Tapia Andrade obtained a permit to hunt wild pigs harming agriculture on her property. In August of last year, Andrade was caught hunting without her permit. She was also found using lead ammunition, which is prohibited, due to the deadly impact it has on California Condors. Andrade faces a $1,000 fine and up to six months in prison when she is sentenced Friday. (S.G.)
