(08:25) MONTEREY COUNTY – A Seaside transient has pleaded no contest to drug and weapons charges. 35-year-old Calvin Carnel Dowdle was arrested after allegedly shooting into an inhabited house with a shotgun. On Wednesday, Dowdle admitted to charges of assault and possession of firearms as well as three separate counts of transporting narcotics for sale. He faces up to 24 years in prison when he is sentenced. (S.G.)
