(10:00) MONTEREY – The only HIV/AIDS program in Monterey County will be closing at the end of the month. The program served around 175 families and provided services like housing and case management assistance. Donations have sharply dropped in the last few years. The hospice giving foundation used to give $170,000 a year to the service, last year they received less than 12 percent of that. A San Luis Obispo HIV/AIDS program will temporarily run the program beginning in July and will help around 15 families. Some other local charities will attempt to fill the services. (M.K.)
