(17:45) GILROY – The driver of a car that crashed into a power pole on Leavesley Road in Gilroy yesterday has died. 27 year-old Gilroy resident Mark Pierce suffered fatal injuries in the accident that also injured his passengers, and caused a power outage at the Gilroy Outlet stores. Power was restored yesterday. The cause of the crash is still being investigated.
