(08:17) MONTEREY – Monterey officials met Tuesday night to discuss new rules aiming to stop prostitution at massage parlors. The police department has recently confirmed that over half of the city’s parlors are soliciting sexual activity online. The city council is now seeking to impose stricter rules on the businesses. If the ordinance is approved, parlors must close between 9 p.m. and 8 a.m. and leave the entrances unlocked during hours of operation. Additionally, every employee must be listed on the city’s permit and registered with the police department. (S.G.)
