(05:40) Santa Cruz – The community is planning to protest a Santa Cruz Neurosurgeon’s possible release back into our community. Dr. James Kohut, as well as 2 nurses, Rashel Brandon, of Watsonville, and Emily Stephens, Of Pima Arizona, were arrested last month and charged with multiple counts of sexual assault on children. There are currently 7 children being held in protective custody. Kohut’s bail hearing is scheduled to take place at 8:15 this morning at the Santa Cruz County Court House. Protesters are expected to gather on the court house steps at 7:45 a.m.
