(08:21) WASHINGTON – The U.S. Supreme Court has legalized same-sex marriage nationwide. In a 5-4 decision Friday morning, the Supreme Court ruled that the Constitution guarantees everyone the right to marry, no matter their gender or sexual orientation. Previously, 37 states and the District of Columbia allowed gay marriage. The Supreme Court decision overturns bans against same-sex unions in the remaining 13 states. The majority opinion was delivered by Justice Anthony Kennedy, and was joined by Justices Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Elena Kagan, Stephen G. Breyer and Sonia Sotomayor. (S.G.)
