(17:02) MONTEREY- Highway 68 near Monterey was closed due to an accident yesterday (Thursday) afternoon. The closure happened just after 2:45 p.m. when an eastbound vehicle wrecked into a culvert west of York Road. The driver suffered major injuries and had to be extricated with the Jaws of Life. Traffic was detoured through Ryan Ranch while the roadway was cleared.
