(09:25) SANTA CRUZ – Santa Cruz city officials will be meeting Tuesday to discuss a curfew at a local beach. For two years, the public has been prohibited from visiting the beach from midnight to an hour before sunrise. Reports of criminal activity have reduced significantly since the curfew went into effect. Maintenance crews have also reported less trash and fewer discarded needles. The city council is now considering a proposal that would extend the curfew through 2019. The council is expected to reach a decision at their meeting this afternoon. (S.G.)
