(08:00) Boulder Creek – A car crashed into a power pole last night causing power outages and a road closure. The incident took place on Highway 9 at Spring Creek Road in Boulder Creek. PG&E is currently working to clear the downed power lines. There is no estimated time of when the road will reopen. Santa Cruz CHP reported the driver was taken to a hospital, but the extent of the injuries are unknown at this time.
