(09:15) The National Weather Service of San Francisco and Monterey Bay has issued a heat advisory from now until Thursday. Strong high pressure over California will continue to produce hot temperatures across inland areas. The hot weather will create a situation in which heat illnesses are possible. Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and avoid leaving pets or family members in hot cars. The heat advisory remains in effect until 9 p.m. on Thursday.
