(10:03) SALINAS- Salinas police are investigating a fatal shooting. Authorities say that shortly after 10 a.m. Saturday, patrol units responded to a report of a shooting victim on the 700 block of Elkington Avenue. At the scene officers found 20 year old Jorge Tinoco Matias suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. The incident is believed to be gang related. It was Salinas’ 16th homicide of the year.
