June 18, 2015: Cultivation Ban Challenged

(22:05) SANTA CRUZ-   The Santa Cruz County Clerk’s Office has confirmed a petition seeking a referendum on the county’s marijuana cultivation ban has qualified for the ballot.   The local medical marijuana advocate group, Responsible Cultivation Santa Cruz organized the petition circulation after the county wide ban on cultivation went into effect May after being adopted by the Board of Supervisors in April. The issue will now go before The Santa Cruz County Board of Supervisors on August 4th when the ban can be repealed or the the matter could be be decided on the June 2016 ballot, or a special ballot could be called.
