(11:30) CAPITOLA – The Capitola Police Department will be participating in the Special Olympics Law Enforcement Torch Run tomorrow. At around 11:00 a.m. Capitola police officers will start running from Park Avenue at McGregor. They will stop at City Hall, and continue to East Cliff Drive where they will hand the torch over to runners from the Santa Cruz Sheriff’s Office. Special Olympics Northern California in the West Bay Region serves over 3,000 local children and adults with developmental disabilities and provides them with free year-round sports training. (M.K.)
