(18:54) WATSONVILLE – The property owner of a Watsonville mobile home park wants to raise space rents at the park, and the homeowners plan to fight the increase. Residents of the 177-unit Pinto Lake Mobile Estates say they plan to meet with their attorney tomorrow (Wednesday) to discuss their legal options, on how to fight the 200-dollar across-the-board rent hike. A Senior Legal Services attorney said that IF the park’s owner can get away with the increase (by saying the park isn’t bringing in enough money to run it)……that could gut Santa Cruz county’s rent control law.
